In a rare occasion Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag walked the ramp for ace designer Rocky S on the first day of Kolkata Fashion Week (KFW) II. The cric icon chats with India Blooms correspondent Sreya Basu on ‘being stylish’

This is the first time you walked the ramp in Kolkata. How’s the experience like?

I am not exactly a ramp person. But after this show I think I can handle both ramp and fields together.

You are wearing a grey sherwani…

You too find it unusual, na? I too did. But Rocky S has made it so beautiful that one can’t help but want to wear it at least once. It’s simple, yet elegant.

Dhoni is the brand ambassador of this KFW. But he never walked the ramp for KFW. So don’t you feel now you have an upper hand on him?

I am part of a show, while Dhoni is the face of the entire event. Now you tell who has an upper hand? (laughs)

Are you a fashion conscious person?

Not much. I always follow my mood while dressing up.

Do you prefer traditional wear to western outfit?

See, that depends on the occasion. If there’s a ‘shaadi’ or ‘sagai’ , then I may go for traditional wear.

What are you most comfortable in?

Anything casual.

Who do you think is the best dressed sports personality in India?

It’s Dhoni’s place, so I have to name him. Jokes apart, Dhoni is a true blue star…be it in fashion or cricket.
