Barbara Walters announced “The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009″ in an ABC special, yesterday. The list highlights some of the year’s most prominent names in entertainment, sports, politics, and pop culture.

The affable US First Lady Michelle Obama was unveiled as the most fascinating personality of the year 2009 by Barbara Walters. The other people who were in race for the most fascinating personality of the year included Sarah Palin, Lady Gaga, Kate Gosselin, Adam Lambert and Glenn Beck. The remaining people on the list are Michael Jackson’s three children (Paris, Prince Michael and Prince Michael II), Brett Favre, Tyler Perry and Jenny Sanford.

Barbara Walters is an American journalist, writer, and media personality. She has hosted morning television shows “Today and The View”, the evening news magazine “20/20″. She is co-anchor of ABC Evening News and correspondent on World News.
