Ekta will not allow Manav and Archana to dance

September 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): ‘Pavitra Rishta’ star cast of Manav and Archana were supposed to take part in 2-hour long dance extravaganza to celebrate the spirit of Ganesh Festival. The Ganesha special was supposed to be a gala event where all of the major star of the popular shows would perform dance numbers. The Ganesh Festival special is going to be aired from 8pm onwards on Sunday, September 19.
Producer Ekta Kapoor decided to visit the sets while the star of the show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ was busy rehearsing for the upcoming dance event. The producer was apparently shocked to see her actors practicing dance moves. Ekta was taken aback because the current track of the show depicts the two characters of Manav and Archana going through a difficult time. In some recent developments on ‘Pavitra Rishta’, Archana is tying the knot with Jaywant and Manav is getting married to Shravani.
Commenting on the event, Ekta said that there has to be a thread of continuity on the TV series and suddenly showing the two characters dancing together will be a big downer for the current track. The actors Sushant Rajput (Manav) and Ankita Lokhande (Archana) have worked for 3 days to get the dance moves right. Therefore the entire teams requested the producer to allow the shoot to go on. Ekta finally improvised on the original idea and now the duo will be seen dancing in a dream sequence.
