LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- TV broadcaster and former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe has confirmed that he will be stepping down from his position as an analyst. The media personality has been under the spotlight for the recent charges of sexual assault brought by Michele Bundy. Shannon Sharpe said in a statement to the media that he has decided to step down from his show ‘NFL Today’ till the matter is resolved by the court. Some of the reports suggest that the allegations could have an adverse effect on the career of the former NFL tight end as he was being considered for the Hall of Fame.

Michele Bundy has alleged that Shannon Sharpe had forced her to having sex with him, threatened to kill her also placed surveillance on her and called to say that he is watching her. The decision of Shannon Sharpe came after the Atlanta Fulton County Superior Court slapped a temporary restraining order on Shannon Sharpe filed by Michele Bundy. The hearing for the case will take place on September 20 and the case has been classified under ‘Family Violence’ category. Shannon Sharpe is yet to reveal when he will return for the coverage of the NFL.
