LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) The latest spy thriller to hit American TV screens is ‘Nikita‘ which is a kind of spin off from the original series ‘La Femme Nikita’. The series premiered on September 9 and received a good response from the audience as well as the critics. The sexy spy thriller stars Maggie Q as ‘Nikita’ and Lyndsy Fonseca as ‘Alex’.

‘Nikita’ revolves around the super hot and deadly assassin Nikita who was trained by a special US agency called Division. In spite of the agency rescuing her from the brink of execution she realizes that Division has a dark story behind it. Nikita goes into hiding for three years and the series starts with her return from the hiatus to take down the agency that betrayed her. Her legend is followed by the character of Alex who begins to realize the truth behind the agency and understands why Nikita decided to run. Things begin to complicate when it is seen that Nikita’s former lover, Michael still works for Division.

The CW network has premiered two new shows (Nikita and Hellcats) and is also banking on the latest season of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ hosted by the stunner Tyra Banks. The network has also made the videos of the shows available online with the full commercial load. Maggie Q, who plays the lead role, is a former model who has starred in several action films that include the third installment of Mission Impossible alongside Tom Cruise. She also starred in the action packed thriller ‘Naked Weapon’.
