Ratan Misses Being Laali

August 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The ongoing track in Zee TV’s ‘Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo’ has seen a number of changes in the portrayal of the leading character Laali played by Ratan Rajpoot. The latest twist in the story is the surprising change in the look and appearance of Laali after she suffered a memory loss in the show. She experienced a lull in her memory and post leap, she found herself in different attires and a different role all together. Isn’t a fresh piece of bread for the audience to feed on?
Even though post leap, luck has smiled on Laali after she found herself in the guise of Chhoti Thakurain named Shyamali. Now, she is no longer being harassed by any Thakur and can make her way as she wishes. But Ratan Rajpoot is not happy with the changes. She is still in love with her original character poor Laali.
Ratan says, “I miss Laali, even though I appreciate the present character Chhoti Thakurain that I am essaying in the current track. Recently, I received a message from one of my close fans that Chhoti Thakurain rocks but we miss simple, innocent Laali and that message touched me deeply. Now I feel though the change in the look of my character is liked by the audience, they miss Laali.”
“I am thankful to the show for my character that entails several layers and shades. It feels great to portray the character in various colors. It is challenging to keep the character alive in different looks, but I miss being Laali,” adds Ratan. However, I will miss Laali until I become the same as before,” signs off Rajpoot.
