Irfan Pathan On Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah?

June 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) may have refused to give permission to our erstwhile cricketers from participating in ‘Fear Facto’r, but they certainly have no reservation to the men in blue making guest appearances in films or TV shows.
It’s widely buzzed that the out of favor Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan might be making a special appearance in the popular comedy series ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on SAB.
Inspired by the Indian Premier League 2, this Neela Telefilms production, had introduced its own cricket tournament – Gokuldham Premier League. The battle was fought between Jabardast Jehta and Bindaas Bhide in the compound of Gokuldham Society. GPL was really appreciated by the viewers, and producer Asit Modi had vowed to have a bigger and better season this year. This season, Modi is said to be wooing Irfan Pathan.
Says a source, “Though not confirmed, but the channel and the production are said to have approached cricketer Irfan Pathan to make a guest appearance in the show. It talks go smoothly, then Pathan should be the star attraction of GPL.”
Producer Asit Modi remained unavailable for comment.
As reported earlier, this season it will be a boys versus girls match. However, that’s not how it will go. Instead, it’s Dayaben vs Babita this time. Expectedly, Jethalal (Dilip Joshi) will be part of Babita’s team.
Last year, it was declared a tie after the police played spoilsport. Will there be a winner this time?
