A recent interview with the Original Blue Ranger sparked a conversation that revealed the reasons behind Yost’s show stopping.

I left the show because I was harassed for being a Gay Actor.

Yost also said that his producers and co-producers have questioned his sexuality many times. The intense anguish made him leave the show. He was also called ‘f***ot’ by the producer, director, writers and creators. After that, he acted in the program “Pray The Gay Away” with a belief that “God’s gonna somehow come down and change you”. He had a sudden nervous breakdown and thereafter he accepted the reality: David Yost is Gay.

Yost is from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Later, he traveled around various parts of United States. He came to California for becoming an actor and he got his role at the Power Rangers series only three months after arrival.
