LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Notorious Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff featured on the latest episode of CNBC’s ‘American Greed’. The episode provided an insight into the life of the scammer inside the prison and the American audience was left wondering whether he was actually under punishment for costing billions of dollars to the common people. The episode called ‘Madoff Behind Bars’ was aired on CNBC at 9pm on August 25 and people all over have been scrambling to get details on the story of the man who epitomizes the ‘American Greed’.

Among some of interesting stories that came out in the CNBC exclusive was that Bernie Madoff had offered to run the budget of the prison’s landscaping crew. Considering his history with money, the authorities decided to decline the offer and said that there is a possibility that all the money will be missing. The prison, however, became the highlight of the show for the facilities it provided to the inmates who committed a crime to get into it. Nicknamed ‘Camp Fluffy’ for the comfort it provides, Bernie Madoff’s prison features a sound proof music room and also periodic special treats like popcorn and cotton candy for the criminals.

Bernie Madoff is seen spending time reading books which are mostly related to law and also some John Grisham and Dean Koontz. Serving his 150 year sentence in style, Bernie Madoff also works at the prison cafeteria. The episode of ‘American Greed’ also featured interview of past and present inmates at ‘Camp Fluffy’ who have come in contact with one of America’s greatest scammers.
