LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — The hot trend on twitter is now Lil Wayne. People are twitting about the American rapper while there is no news of release of his album or any incidents associated with him. This proves his popularity among the people.

Lil Wayne, is an American Grammy Award-winning rapper. He was a former member of the rap group the Hot Boys. He joined the Cash Money Records collective as a teenager. Get It How U Live!, released in 1997, was Lil Wayne’s first album with Hot Boys. Tha Block Is Hot, his solo debut, came out in 1999.

Lil Wayne reached higher popularity with 2004’s Tha Carter and its two subsequent albums Tha Carter II (2005) and Tha Carter III (2008).

“A Milli,” earned him a Grammy for best rap solo in 2008. He will release a rock album titled Rebirth in 2010.

The 27-year-old rapper pleaded guilty in October 2009, to a weapons possession charge and will be sentenced Feb. 9. His plea deal calls for a year in jail.

He’s faced other arrests in Arizona and Texas. He has been arrested for use or possession of marijuana and other drugs.

But it seems controversy hasn’t affect Lil Wayne’s popularity. He is still at the peak of popularity graph.
