CWG Theme Song Ready

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman has revealed that his theme song for the Commonwealth Games has been approved by the GoM (Group of Ministers). Jaipal Reddy, the Urban Development Minister revealed that the song will be ready for release in 10 days. He added that AR Rahman will be adding some final touches to the song before it is made public.
AR Rahman told the media that the song was presented in front of the GoM and they have asked him to tweak it before the release. Jaipal Reddy said that the theme of the song was also discussed with Shyam Benegal and Bharat Bala and then the Group of Ministers approved of it in principle. He said that the CWG theme song gave the right message and generates excitement. Organizing Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi added that he liked the song.
Jaipal Reddy also brushed aside the concerns of the media regarding the preparation for the games and said that everything is in order. He added that several matters were discussed during the meeting. He said that the authorities are still sticking to the deadlines and the preparations for the games will be on track. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has recently said in a statement that he will be overseeing the preparations for the Commonwealth games himself and added that everyone who will be found guilty of misconduct will be penalized. The Prime Minister has asked for a thorough investigation of the irregularities and the complaints received regarding the construction work and the arrangements for the CWG that is set to begin in 50 days. The CWG theme song will be the last song of the opening ceremony.
