SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- Few will disagree to the statement that the Grammy Award-winning techno-rock band Linkin Park has always tried to come up with something different with each and every album of its. This time as well the band came up with some really innovative idea to release the first single from it’s yet to be released album “A Thousand Suns”. The song titled “The Catalyst” was released by Linkin Park in a trailer for the video game named “Medal of Honor” on Sunday. Directed by the Linkin Park band member Joe Hahn, the trailer shows the trials that a true new age “warrior” has to face in Afghanistan war.

The video trailer of “Medal of Honor”, which is in it a unique product that comes with an amazing mixture of real and animated products, gets a new meaning with the song of Linkin Park. Linkin Park bassist David “Phoenix” Farrell has said to media sources that the song has a “dark undertone” that fits with the subject of the video game. The game deals with the hardships of the warriors who are trying to escape a Taliban attack in Afghanistan village. The bearded hero is accompanied with some other friends who fight with the Taliban. What makes the trailer all the more interesting is the brilliant combination of “The Catalyst“, real life Afghan war footage along with the animated game that gives a combined effect of being in a real world war.

As per reports, Linkin Park’s “The Catalyst” will remain the soundtrack of the game that is scheduled to release in the market on October 12. On October 12 the game will be made available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and also in personal computers.
