It is great tbat Brooke Shields has finally been able to achieve one of her long-standing dreams! It does not seem likely that the design of the coat was intended as a scheme to “hog the spotlight”, since it is something she has talked about for years. From the perspective of a furrier, the fur would have gone to creating a garment regardless…All Ms. Shields did was collaborate in the design. It seems more like she is being scapegoated by the anti-fur proponents. It is alright to disagree with wearing fur. Those who enjoy fur do so personally…they aren’t forcing anyone to wear fur against their will. It is unfortunate that they are not given the same consideration when it comes to preference.
