Bryan Cranston wins second dramatic Emmy honor

LOS ANGELES — Bryan Cranston has won the Emmy Award for lead actor in a drama series.

Cranston won his second consecutive trophy for “Breaking Bad” on AMC. He plays a high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with terminal lung cancer who teams up with a former student to manufacture methamphetamine.

The award was presented Sunday in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Glenn Close has won the Emmy Award for lead actress in a drama series.

Close won for the second year in a row for the FX show “Damages,” in which she plays revered and reviled litigator Patty Hewes.

It was the actress’ third career Emmy award, presented Sunday in Los Angeles.
