Farrah Fawcett leaves nothing to Ryan O’Neal in will
By ANISunday, July 26, 2009
LONDON - Actress Farrah Fawcett has left major part of her 3.6-million-pound fortune to her troubled 24-year-old son but chose to leave nothing to his father, her long-time lover Ryan O’Neal, it has emerged.
The Charlie’s Angels star, who died of cancer at 62 last month, bequeathed the money to her son Redmond, who has battled drink and drug problems.
As per the will, which is to be released in two weeks, Redmond will get a monthly allowance and cash to buy a home.
He is presently in Los Angeles prison for drugs offences and his mother was keen that his inheritance would help him turn his life around.
She has appointed two trustees to ensure the cash helps him recover from his addictions rather than fund them.
“Redmond’s inheritance will be tightly controlled,” the Daily Express quoted a source close to the family as saying.
Fawcett left nothing to O’Neal, 68. The couple were together for 15 years until 1997 and reunited after she was diagnosed. (ANI)

Farrah Fawcett was smart — she did the proper estate planning and protected her son the right way, using a trust the way it was meant to be used. Too bad other celebrities haven’t done so as well. |
