MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Family surely comes first for Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who flew down to Mumbai from Toronto to be with his wife Twinkle Khanna on the day of Karva Chauth which is being observed all across the country today. The noted actor along with his ravishing wife attended the pre-Karva Chauth bash that was thrown by the actor’s sister Alka Bhatia at her salon in Juhu, Mumbai on Monday.

The Karva Chauth eve party which was named ‘blast before the fast’ and was organized by Akshay Kumar’s sister surely turned out to be a huge hit as apart from her sister-in-law, many other Bollywood wives attended the bash in the salon where they got spa treatments and mehendi applied on their hands. However, it was definitely the “Action Replayy” star and his pretty wife who grabbed all the attention with Twinkle Khanna looking absolutely stunning in a traditional attire while Akshay Kumar chose to grace the occasion in a casual jeans. The event was all the more special for Twinkle Khanna as supposedly the former actress observes the Karva Chauth every year since she got married to the “Khiladi” star.

While talking to reporters following the bash, Twinkle Khanna revealed that although she doesn’t really believe in religious things, she has been observing Karva Chauth for years now as it is a sweet ritual and it makes her family happy. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar told reporters that he graced the event as he has always been supportive of his sister and wife’s business ventures. Karva Chauth is a day-long fast that is observed by Indian wives for the well-being of their husbands.
