MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) A new show has gained immense popularity on the Indian television, a show which is very unique in its format. ‘Master Chef India’ is being said to be the first cooking show whose host is a Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. It surely does not come as a surprise that the host on the recently unveiled show has fans glued to their seats. He is smooth with his words on the show as his kicks were in his action flicks. The show, however, is not without criticism and many feel that it has nothing new to offer. A media source has mocked the show in its writing.

A reputed media source has pointed out that ‘Master Chef India’ was perhaps intended for the Zee Network but instead ended up on Star Plus. However, the show has already managed to seize many eye-balls due to its different concept that has not been experimented with in Indian television. For the fans of Akshay Kumar and some Indian housewives who cannot get enough of food shows and recipes, the show would surely prove to be highly entertaining with its upcoming episodes. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is his usual charming self and is giving his best on the show.

He is behaving in what can be said as a “politically correct manner” with him revealing on the show that he still carries a note worth 20 baht, the highest tip he himself received when he was a Chef in Hong Kong. He has been carrying that lucky charm for 25 years with him. ‘Master Chef India’ is aired over the weekend on Star Plus.
