Jennifer Grey in Dancing With the Stars

Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - Last night, on the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars, Jennifer Grey made her highly-anticipated debut.

The former actress Jennifer Grey Dirty is popularly known as the dancing actress. She starred with Patrick Swayze in the hit 1987 film. She performed the Viennese waltz to Otis Redding’s ‘These Arms of Mine.’

On Monday, Jennifer Grey didn’t shy away from her “Dirty Dancing” past on “Dancing With the Stars”. The actress and partner Derek Hough danced a Viennese waltz to “These Arms of Mine.” It was a song featured in “Dirty Dancing.” She became emotional, and it showed through the rehearsals too.

She broke regarding the loss of her co-star and friend Patrick Swayze. Jennifer Grey got top honors for her dance performance in Viennese waltz. She earned good comments from the judges. She also brought Carrie Ann Inaba to tears. Jennifer and her partner Derek Hough performed “These Arms of Mine” from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. The actress said that her partner is just like Patrick Swayze who was like him, young and gorgeous.

Jennifer performed in the stage in a flowing blue gown. She wowed to the judges and bagged the highest score of that night. It was 24 out of 30.
Judge Bruno Tonioli said that Jennifer is back with a bang. She referred to her character and added that her performance made them proud. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba was also very much impressed.

She said that something intense and deep happened connecting the two performances, today and in the past. September 20th night season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” recapitulated us of a few things that we already knew. For example Jennifer Grey’s graceful movement while dancing and taught us a few things we were not already aware of.
