Winans duo releases first gospel album in 15 years

ATLANTA — Gospel music stars BeBe and CeCe Winans are looking to show their family remains strong as they launch their first album in 15 years while dealing with the death of their father and BeBe’s upcoming court date in a misdemeanor assault case.

CeCe Winans said she believes it’s an opportunity for the duo to follow the same message they have sung in their inspirational lyrics: Have faith.

On Tuesday, about six months after their father David “Pop” Winans Sr. died in Nashville, the BeBe and CeCe combo released “Still.” It’s the first album in 15 years for the duo, which has won five Grammys and seven Dove Awards together.

BeBe Winans was arrested after authorities said he pushed his ex-wife to the ground in Nashville in March. A court date is set for Oct. 20.
