NASHVILLE (GaeaTimes.com)- On Wednesday night, the 44th annual Country Music Award ceremony turned out to be a gala affair with some of the most eminent country music singers taking to the stage to perform. Following Miranda Lambert’s power packed rendition of “That’s The Way The World Goes ‘Round”, the “King of Country” George Strait went on stage to perform a song from his new album. The soulful music of the song and emotional lyrics brought back to the country music fans the old charm of George Strait’s music.

George Strait, who has to his credit songs like “Fool Hearted Memory”, “Blue Clear Sky” and “Heartland”, on Wednesday night sang “The Breath You Take” from his latest album. George Strait’s “The Breath You Take” draws a portrait of a father and son and how their lives are related to the field of baseball. The song that scripted a sad heartfelt story of the father and son, went well with the tune that captured the attention of the audience. George Strait’s passionate and emotional voice filled many eyes with tears. Many from the audience voiced later on that the song is going to be yet another George Strait hit.

Although George Strait’s song was classy in itself, many from the audience voiced to media sources that it failed to create the same impact because of its placement. Just after Miranda Lambert’s “That’s The Way The World Goes ‘Round”, George Strait’s “The Breath You Take” seemed out-of-place. The song was followed by Zac Brown Band’s Alan Jackson’s “As She’s Walking Away” who won the best new artist award.
