LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Tareq Salahi’s father, Dirgham Salahi, has passed away. The news was confirmed by Michaele Salahi on her Facebook page where she paid an emotional tribute to her father-in-law. She said that he was a man she loved and learned from and also expected privacy from the media in the difficult time for her family. Dirgham Salahi was in his 80s and the cause of his death yet to be revealed.

Michaele Salahi also posted a photo of herself with Dirgham Salahi at her wedding when she was dancing with him. The reality star also said in her social networking page that she does not want any media attention at this time. She said she was aware that her family was of interest to the media for various reasons but she did not want the media to be present at the rituals for her father-in-law. She explained that her family’s grief should not be a spectacle and rather a sacred meditation.

The Salahi’s rose to prominence after they gatecrashed into the White House dinner. Their photos with President Barack Obama and Vice-president Joe Biden also became a rage on the web. The Salahis also feature in the latest reality show ‘Real Housewives of DC’. The couple stand out on the show for their strong personalities and ambitions. Though the couple are known to be hungry for fame and media attention, they failed to get their autographs sold recently. A website reported that 198 of the 200 autographed photos of the couple were still to be sold.
