September 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It has been said that Patton Oswalt and Patrick Wilson are going to join acclaimed actress Charlize Theron in "Young Adult”; this is Jason Reitman’s latest black comedy. The movie’s story has been penned down by Diablo Cody and the film project is set up at Mandate.
The movie follows a divorced, young-adult fiction writer as played by Theron who is in her thirties and is based in Minneapolis. She later makes a comeback to her hometown in Minnesota in order to chase an ex-boyfriend. The guy now is married with a kid.
Patton has a very important role to play in the movie and he will play a handicapped and self-loathing man who had a thing for Theron, way back in highschool. He is stuck with Theron, as she meets with her old buddies from highschool, once again.
The character of Theron’s ex-boyfriend is played by Wilson and it should be a pretty interesting mix. Lianne Halfon and Russell Smith are the producers of "Young Adult” while Mason Novick, Cody and Reitman join them as co-producers. John Malkovich, Helen Estabrook, Nathan Kahane, Jare are the executive producers of the film.
The shooting for the movie would commence in the US cities of New York and Minneapolis.
