Anjaana Anjaani Release Date

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has revealed that he had asked ‘Anjaana Anjaani‘ producer Sajid Nadiadwala to push back the date of the film’s release by one week due to the Ayodhya verdict. The earlier release date of Anjaana Anjaani was on September 24 but the film will now be released on October 1 which is also the release date of the high budget Rajinikanth film ‘Robot’ that stars Aishwarya Rai.
Ranbir Kapoor told the media that the film’s release was a time of celebration but said that he remembered the death and the destruction caused during the demolition of the Babri Masjid. He added that the country’s peace was more important than the film. He said that the decision of the Allahabad High Court could go in anyone’s favor and that could cause another upheaval. He said that it was not a good day to release a film and urged his producer to push back the date by a week. The 27 year old ‘Wake Up Sid’ star said that a lot of money is at stake and the prints of the movie had already reached the theaters but he believed that if ‘Anjaana Anjaani‘ is really good then the audience will come back to the theaters the next Friday which is the new release date.
About ‘Anjaana Anjaani‘, which also stars Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor said that it was a simple love story. He said that he played the role of an investment banker who had lost everything and wanted to end his life. The character of Priyanka Chopra now comes into his life and they spend 20 days together to rediscover life and love.
