Maid Says Shiney Did Not Rape Her

September 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja’s career had almost gone into danger when his housemaid accused him of raping her nearly a year ago. However, the maid has taken a total U-turn in court and said that the actor ‘never’ raped her.

It has been reported that the 20 year old girl told a fast-track court that she was forced to frame the false charges against Shiney by the woman, who got her this job with the actor.

Public prosecutor Kashinath Dighe was quoted saying that the victim identified Shiney in the court on September 3 and said that she was employed at his home as a domestic help. However, she denied the incident when she was asked about the rape case and added that she was never raped.

On June 14, 2009, Shiney was arrested following the accusation by a woman that Ahuja forced himself on her and threatened her not to speak about it. As a result, the actor had to spend almost three months in prison and was bailed out on October 1, 2009.

The reports suggest that the prosecution will continue to present proofs including the statement of 12 other witnesses. The next hearing of Shiney’s case has been scheduled for 15th September. There is still a chance Shiney being convicted depending on other evidences. The maid may also undergo prosecution if her last statement comes out to be false.
