NEW DELHI (GaeaTimes.com) — Music Maestro A.R. Rahman is back again. This time he is composing the theme song for Common Wealth Games (CWG), which will start from October in India. The Group of Ministers (GOM) on CWG has finalized ‘Swagatham‘, which will be made public within 10 days.

Union Urban Development Minister Mr. Jaypal Reddy has commented that Rahman is giving the finishing touches on the song. The theme song will be sung as the last song of the opening ceremony. An official of the Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee said that the song would be previewed at 9.45 AM on next Monday. Details about this song is still kept secret. But we have found out that the song will start with the line ‘Yaroon India Bula Liya’.

The other eminent personalities who were present during the song selection were famous film director Shyam Benegal and Shova Narayan, the creative head of BharatBala production. Both of them has agreed that the song generates the proper excitement and delivers the correct message of unity and peace. Rahman said the song would go beyond Shakira’s chart-buster for this year’s soccer World Cup 2010 ‘Waka Waka’

The ‘Mozart of Madras’ will also enthrall the audience at the opening ceremony of the CWG in front of 70000 spectators. For Rahman-maniacs like me, it is sure going to be a royal treat.
