No Big Releases On July 30

July 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): For the past couple of weeks, it’s been Hollywood movies that have been topping the box office of Chennai as there haven’t been any big releases in Tamil.
Christopher Nolan’s Inception is still successfully running with house-packed shows while last week’s release Angelina Jolie starrer Salt has done a remarkable business at box office.
Meanwhile, Bollywood’s Khatta Meeta has bombed with disastrous results and has been a disappointing show for the fans of Akshay Kumar in Chennai.
The only Tamil release Thillalangadi has been gaining favorable results in Chennai and other metropolitan cities of Tamil Nadu alone.
July 30 will have no big releases in Tamil and only couple of low budget films – Thambi Arjuna and Aaravadhu Vaanam will have its way into theatres. Hollywood’s The Twilight Saga Eclipse and Hindi film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai are expected to have grand opening as the pre-release reviews have marked excellent verdicts on these movies.
