MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Salman Khan is one Bollywood actor who along with playing romantic heroes in a number of potboliers has also portrayed the roles of action hero. While the critics have panned such films for their wafer thin plot and excess of violence, no one can deny that films like ‘Wanted’ have scored extremely well at the box office. A film starring the actor is awaiting release which is being produced by his sibling actor producer Arbaaz Khan. The first teaser of Dabangg starring Salman Khan and newcomer Sonakshi Sinha is out now and the trailer has already created a positive buzz about the film.
In Dabangg which promise to be a typical Hindi action potboiler Salman Khan plays the role of a corrupt cop named Chubul Pandey. The action director S Vijayan who was in Wanted is back in this film as well. It means that the viewers will get to see some jaw dropping stunts. For Sonakshi Sinha who is the daughter of yesteryear actor Shatrughan Sinha the film is a stepping stone to the world of Bollywood. She is naturally apprehensive about her debut. She however has the looks of a promising actress.
Dabangg also has a number of well known and veteran actors including Dimple Kapadia, Om Puri, Sonu Sood, Mahi Gill and Vinod Khanna. Salman Khan has done some bare bodied shots as one can expect in this film. The film has been directed by Abhinav Kashyap and if the trailer is anything to go by, the director has done a nice job. It will be released later this year.
