Lindsay Lohan to play porn star Linda Lovelace

May 5, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): If reports are to be believed, Lindsay Lohan will be returning to acting, featuring as porn star Linda Lovelace.

According to photographer Tyler Shields, a friend of Lindsay’s, the troubled star was definitely going to the play the ‘70s porn star in a film titled ‘Inferno.’

Producer of the film, Wali Razaqui, also told the Los Angeles Times that Lindsay was going to play the role. He told the newspaper that he along with the unit, all thought that Lindsay would be a great choice for a while now, and they’re all convinced that she is going to do it.

He stated that however, Lindsay would have to dig deep for the role, which would see her play the star of ‘Deep Throat.’

He feels that Linda was so battered and beat up emotionally, that it’s going to take everything Lindsay has to really be able to pull it off. “Inferno” is one of two films currently in plans of being made to be based around the life of the porn star, who is known for turning into an anti-porn activist, before her death in 2002.

The other film, ‘Lovelace,’ initially had Courtney Love attached to the project. Courtney was planning to make her comeback to movies following her legal troubles, which landed her in rehab in 2005. However, on Tuesday a source from the production company making ‘Lovelace’ revealed that they were looking at several actresses for the role of Linda in that biopic.
