LONDON - Keira Knightley and Rebecca Hall are reportedly going head-to-head to bag the role of Daisy Buchanan in a new adaptation of ‘The Great Gatsby’.

“Both know it could be the role of a lifetime and are doing everything they can to impress the director Baz Luhrmann,” the Daily Express quoted a Hollywood insider as saying.

“It’s the most sought-after part for a young actress since Rooney Mara was cast as Lisbeth Salander in the remake of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’. Whoever gets it will be the Queen Bee of Hollywood,” he added.

The eagerly-awaited film of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, with Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role, will be the first since the 1974 version starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow.

It is however reported that Hall is said to have the edge over Knightley. (ANI)
