Tony Curtis Funeral Held

LAS VEGAS (GaeaTimes.com)- The legendary actor Tony Curtis passed away last Wednesday leaving his friends and family members mourn for his death. The funeral of “Some Like It Hot” actor was held yesterday. Tony Curtis’ family members, fans and friends gathered into Las Vegas funeral chapel yesterday to say last goodbye to the star and celebrate his life. A reputed media source reported that a film tribute to the actor’s diverse career appeared before the 400 guests in at the funeral of the Hollywood icon.

Tony Curtis’ daughter, actress Jamie Lee Curtis remembered her father at the funeral by saying that his children and grandchildren are all his “evidence” and everyone of them “got” something from Tony Curtis. The actress said that she has inherited the desperate “need of attention” from his father. Arnold Schwarzenegger also attended the funeral of Tony Curtis and said that “The Defiant Ones” actor encouraged him to change his name and accent to make it big in Hollywood. The eyewitnesses said that Tony Curtis‘ coffin was draped in an American flag. The actor’s sixth wife Jill Curtis took the stage and read a eulogy to her husband. She remembered her husband by sharing many of the times that the couple spent with each other and also spoke about his many strengths and weaknesses.

Jill Curtis said that Tony Curtis was laid to rest with his favorite possessions like Armani scarf, driving gloves, an iPhone and a copy of his favorite novel, “Anthony Adverse”. She even said that her husband did not like funerals and he wanted it to be more like a “celebration”. A source close to the Tony Curtis‘ family said that after the service there would be burial of the actor and a reception for 200 people at the Luxur Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip.
