September 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Charlotte Ronson has shaken hands with MH Concepts as she makes her debut foray in the Chinese market. MH Concepts, for the uninitiated is a Hong Kong and Shanghai based company that is owned privately. The company was founded three years back in 2007 by Meanne Ho.
Meanne has more than quarter of a century’s experience in the fashion industry and was also the Vice President of Gap Inc. Asia Pacific. As a VP Ho had to manage locations in over 20 countries. Meanne identified Ronson’s work and collection absolutely apt for the young Chinese market and also thinks that her work is going to be the best next thing for the Chinese fashion-dom.
This particular pact starts in this September. There would be stores in places like Shanghai, a store in Hong Kong in October; a couple of other stores would be opened up in other Shanghai locations in the spring of next year; followed by stores in Beijing and Guangzho. MHC’s business arrangement would include a total of 200 freestanding, department as well as mall store shops by the year 2014. The stores would be spread across the Chinese nation. There would be shops all over Hong Kong and Macau as well. Charlotte Ronson’s ‘Chinese invasion’ is predicted to earn $5 million to 10 $ million US Dollars in the first year.
