“As The World Turns” Last Episode On CBS

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- “As The World Turns” can be called as one of the longest running soap opera of the television industry. It was first aired on CBS in the yeas 1956 and after 5 decades of success the show finally saw an end yesterday. The whole show is set in fictional town of Oakdale, Illinois and the series has entertained the audience for so many years. It was a real emotional moment for the audience to say goodbye to the show in its last episode.
“As The World Turns” last episode saw loose ends tying up, some unfinished stories getting an end, some stories were left unfinished as well. The long running plots were left open ended as well. Bob Hughes has retired from the hospital, in the end he looks back to the time. The audience is left to wonder what will happen to Holden and Lily and their son Luke. Casey goes to law school, Barbara calls it quits with Paul in the last episode. With so many characters, “As The World Turns” had become a household name for the audience.
“As The World Turns” last episode also saw Janet asking Jack to be Lorenzo’s Godfather. Carly looks forward to conceive once again, Chris proposed Katie and Lucinda and John reunites. Kathryn Hays, known as Kim Hughes in “As The World Turns” said that the last day of shooting was “poignant”. However, the actress also added that she does not think there should be any goodbyes at the end of the show. While speaking about the last of shoot the actress said that the studio got really full with all the members of “As The World Turns” series’ last episode shoot and there was hardly any space for “cameras” and the “boom”.
