What Is Common Between Prachi And Chitrangada?

September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Apparently, there is nothing so common between the budding actress Prachi Desai and talented actress Chitrangada Singh. But the thing that has brought the two actresses on common platform is a film to be produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Sudhir Mishra.

Prachi is known to be a hot favorite of her mentor Ekta Kapoor so she wanted the actress in the lead role of the film. On the other hand, Sudhir Mishra has opted for Chitrangada, who he directed in ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ in 2003.

So, the common thing between the two ladies is a movie. The movie concerned here is a love story and the producer and the director are still in talk about it. Mishra is sticking to his favorite Chitrangada Singh but Ekta also does not want to change her choice. This has led to a clear disagreement over the female cast of the movie. The script of the movie is penned from a female perspective, which gives the female an opportunity to perform.

A source close to Ekta was quoted stating that Sudhir thinks that only Chitrangada can do justice to the character and she would also look perfect with the male lead Pratik Babbar. On the other hand, Ekta feels that Chitrangada has a mature look and Prachi is a better choice to play a girl in her twenties.

However, if the disagreement between the producer and the director continues, it may happen that the project does not take off. However, as per the source both Ekta and Sudhir are trying to work out the things.
