Eric Stonestreet Plays Down His Emmy Victory

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — The Modern Family actor, Eric Stonestreet believes that his solitary Emmy Award for acting in the show Modern Family will not create a feeling of awkwardness in him. In an interview for the ABC he suggested that the cast and crew of of the show have joked about their respective nominations.
The actor revealed that the in the case someone did win an Emmy, the entire cast has decided to punch the winner in the stomach. He was quick to add that he would have felt as he does now even if any other member of the cast was selected. He said
But the truth is that a win for me is like a win for Sofia [Vergara] or Julie [Bowen] and Ty [Burrell] or Jesse [Tyler Ferguson]. We’re proud of our show and we just love our jobs.
Eric Stonestreet may seem to be non challant about his win at the Emmy’s. He says that he is enjoys the compliments he gets from his fans. Eric’s character in the show, Cameron is hailed as a role model for gay people. He mentioned that many members of the same sex marriage community give the cast “amazing compliments”.
