Nordstrom Rack Will Join The Market

August 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Seattle - based Nordstrom, Inc. has gone ahead and announced its plans to open up a Nordstrom Rack at The Market at Town Center in Sugar Land, Texas.

The store is going to have an area of 35,455 square - feet and it is scheduled to be opened in the fall of 2011. This will also be the second Rack store in the larger area of Houston after the opening of The Centre at Post Oak Rack in the month of February.

The company, Nordstrom also operates a complete line store at the Galleria Mall in Houston as well as a total of six other fully operational stores and six Racks in the state of Texas.

The Market at Town Center is positioned right in the center of the First Colony community at the chief intersection of the Highway 6 and the Boulevard in Town Center. This place lies to the east of US 59.

The center showcases a total of 40 national as well as regional retailers. Some of the retailers featured here include the likes of Ross, Old Navy, Marshalls and DSW, and there are nine restaurants here as well. Weingarten Realty owns and operates The Market at Town Center.

Geevy Thomas, the president of Nordstrom Rack said that they were excited to receive the entry the Houston market, last February and the company is now looking to serve a bigger client - base.
