Several reports emerged that during her childhood, Mary Schmidt Amons spent the summer holidays with the Kennedys and further research revealed that the ‘Housewife’ is the granddaughter of the iconic TV and radio personality Arthur Godfrey. Arthur Godfrey was one of the most popular media personalities in the 1930s and known to be close to the Kennedys himself. He was also famous for his stints on radio and late on TV. Mary Schmidt Amons is married to Rich Amons who is also a well known personality in Washington DC. He is known to have significant contacts in the cable television and telecommunications industry. He is also the founder and president of the American Teleport Association (ATA).

Mary Schmidt Amons is also known to have combined her two biggest passions, fashion and charity, into her career by founding the organizations ‘Labels For Love’ and ‘District Sample Sale’. Some of the experts feels that she and Michaele Salahi, along with the Catherine Ommanney, who is of British origin will be overshadowing the rest of the cast members on ‘The Real Housewives of DC’, but fans of the franchise will know that things change quickly when it comes to the ‘Real Housewives’.
