LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes)- The latest housewives to hit American TV screens in August are the ones from Washington DC. Bravo introduced the audience to the women, who are expected to bring drama into their lives, with the premiere of ‘Real Housewives of DC‘ on August 5. By the time the audience could settle down with the new housewives in their lives, the controversies began. Michaele Salahi, the gatecrasher at the White House, who is one of the ‘Housewives’, is already engaged in an ugly battle with the iconic Whoopi Goldberg. She appeared in ‘The View’ to promote ‘The Real Housewives Of DC’ and ended up causing more stir than she would have liked. The drama at the talk show, however, is expected to boost the viewership of the fifth ‘Housewives’ franchisee of the Bravo network.

The five women who will be a part of ‘The Real Housewives of DC‘ are Mary Schmidt Amons, Stacy Scott Turner, Catherine Ommanney, Lynda Erkiletian and the controversial and ravishing Michaele Salahi. There is ample drama from the very first episode for the audience to gorge on. First on the agenda of the fashionable housewives is a polo match that some of them are not that into. Some of them get together to organize a birthday bash and one cast member is not invited till the last minute of the party.

Mary Schmidt Amons who is the daughter of a lobbyist and is also seen to be an active socialite in the Washington DC circles. Michaele Salahi is considered to be the crazy one from the very beginning of the season and the audience is strongly reminded of Kelly Bensimon from the other ‘Housewives’ franchise. The friction between some of the cast members is usually the USP of the ‘Housewives’ shows and from the very first episode ‘The Real Housewives of DC‘ promises to be one fun ride.
