Teen sensation JUSTIN BIEBER was forced to cut short his album launch party in New York on Tuesday night (23Mar10) after the venue was swamped with screaming fans.

The pop star took over the Lucky Strike Lanes bowling alley in Manhattan to celebrate the release of his new record My World 2.0 with a couple of games.

But the party was called off when security teams began to fear for the star’s safety.

A source tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, “Justin wanted to stay and bowl, but his security guys didn’t want to take any chances.”

The 16 year old left the venue with his associates and went on to enjoy burgers and fries at hip nightspot The Eldridge, spending a reported $400 (£266) on food and donating the leftovers to a homeless shelter.
