LAHORE - Former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan has vowed to “flog big crooks” himself, “if elected to power.”
The News quoted the Tehreek-e-Insaf chief as saying that while people have watched the flogging of small time thieves on TV, “I myself would flog the big crooks when elected to power”.
Addressing an election rally in NA-123 constituency of Lahore, Khan alleged that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif has started playing politics with Prime Minister Gilani on his side.
He said that Sharif, in the past, used to play cricket with the help of umpire on his side, and “now he is doing the politics with the umpire on his side.”
Khan added that the purpose of his struggle was not merely to change faces of politicians, but also to transform the system.
Whenever there has been fight of interests and ideology the latter has always won, he pointed out. (ANI)
