Coming soon, Charlie Chaplin the cartoon

LONDON - Charlie Chaplin is set to tickle funny bones once again - and this time he’s coming in a cartoon avatar.
Animation companies in India and France will reportedly join forces to come up with a cartoon television series based on the English comedian.
The 7 million pound project will feature computer-generated images in more than 100 six-minute episodes that are aimed at children aged six and above.
“It won’t be a realistic portrayal but more like a puppet in an offbeat universe,” the Telegraph quoted spokesman Aton Soumache as saying.
“We’ll put him in modern situations but at the same keeping his poetic, childlike view of the world with a retro feel,” Soumache added.
The episodes are expected to be screens from early next year. (ANI)
