Scottish singing sensation SUSAN BOYLE has fought off competition from ALICIA KEYS to claim the U.S. album chart’s Christmas number one with her debut release I DREAMED A DREAM.

The disc stormed to number one earlier this month (Dec09) and has remained on top for a fourth successive week, denying Keys her fourth chart-topping title; The Element of Freedom enters at two.

Opera star Andrea Bocelli’s festive release, My Christmas, slips one place to three, while Taylor Swift’s Fearless and Carrie Underwood’s Play On round out the Billboard 200’s top five.

Soul singer Robin Thicke scores a new entry at nine with Sex Therapy: The Session.
