Applauded by a big crowd of music lovers and a large section of the press, composer Nikhil and singer Raman Kapoor launched the foot-tapping album, ‘Lovely Kudi’. The hip-hop album with foot-tapping, dance numbers was launched by Moserbaer at a glittering ceremony.
The album stars Meghna Naidu, Mumait Khan, Neha, video director Shirin Mantri and Kushal Punjabi were present along with several other well known faces from the modeling world and the music industry.
Singer Raman Kapoor, a successful Germany-based businessman, is a 60-year-old newcomer to the world of music, which is his first love.
“I was a bathroom singer. I spent my early years setting up an export business in Germany and didn’t have the time to pursue music. But when my sons took over, they wanted to settle in India. It’s only after we shifted to Delhi that I felt inclined to let my dreams take over,” explains Raman when asked about starting a career at this age.
Incidentally, this album is also music composer Nikhil’s 150th music album. Speaking to us at the launch, Nikhil said, “The journey so far has been superb, but it was very challenging too.”
‘Lovely Kudi’ has six music videos and is accompanied by 11 tracks and 6 karaoke tracks, which is another first for a music album. Nikhil is sure that the dance numbers in the album sung in Raman’s melodious voice will set several dance floors on fire.
