CHANDIGARH - Music is beyond all boundaries and ages - this was proved by 62-year-old Raman Kapoor, a businessman and artist, who released his first album “Lovely Kudi” at an age when most people have begun their retirement.

After spending many years in Germany, Kapoor returned to India and fulfilled his long cherished dream.

I always had the passion for singing and now I have turned it into a career. This is indeed an exciting moment for me, said an upbeat Kapoor, who released the album here Thursday.

Music has always had a big impact on my life. I am happy that with ‘Lovely Kudi’, I have been able to turn my dreams into reality, Kapoor, who earlier acted in some Hindi TV serials, told reporters here.

“Lovely Kudi”, released by Moser Baer, is an enthralling mix of 11 tracks including hip-hop, qawwali, romantic songs, ghazals and dance numbers.

Nikhil and Satish Sharma have composed the music for the album and all songs have been sung by Kapoor. The videos of the album feature Mumaith Khan and Meghna Naidu.

I always wanted to sing and release my own album. But I was too busy with my import-export business to find any time for it. But now I have decided to live life to the fullest and to accomplish my dreams. That’s why I returned to my family in New Delhi, said Kapoor.
