Swift Starts Cmas With Staged Tv Interview

TAYLOR SWIFT kicked off the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday (11Nov09) with a TV interview.
The Love Story singer performed Forever & Always at the top of the 43rd annual prizegiving after staging what looked like a TV expose linked to her penchant for naming and shaming her ex-boyfriends in her songs.
She suddenly leaped up from the interview sofa to perform her first of two songs to screaming fans.
Swift, 19, is the youngest person ever to be nominated for an Entertainer of the Year award at the CMAs.
This year’s country music bash is being hosted by singers Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, who was nominated in seven categories.
The co-hosts poked fun at Swift’s Kanye West encounter at the MTV Video Music Awards in September (09), crooning “mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be Kanye”, and Paisley quipped, “Wow, that song is just as relevant today as the day it was written, which was this morning.”
The singers also joked about country duo Brooks & Dunn’s upcoming split, dedicating a joke version of country classic D-I-V-O-R-C-E to the band.
