‘Capadocia’ gets 3 International Emmy nominations
NEW YORK — The Mexican women’s prison drama “Capadocia” (kahp-ah-DOE’-ceeya) has been nominated for three International Emmys.
“Capadocia,” produced by HBO Latin America, is nominated for best drama series, actress (Cecilia Suarez) and actor (Oscar Olivares).
Britain leads with nine nominations, followed by Brazil with five. The Philippines, Mexico and Germany have three apiece.
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on Monday announced 41 nominees from 17 countries in 10 categories for the International Emmys, which recognize outstanding TV productions outside the U.S.
The awards will be presented Nov. 23 in New York.
