Patrick Swayze no more

Dirty Dancing star, Patrick Swayze (57) is no more. The actor, who had been battling against pancreatic cancer for the last 20 months, has succumbed to his illness. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Niemi.

The Ghost actor passed away with his family beside him. Even though he was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, he still agreed to star in the TV series, The Beast.

66.Dear Lisa, and family…
If it were possible, I would send flowers and a sympathy card, rather than leaving this message on here; not knowing if you will even see it. I pray that you will see it.
Since I first heard that Patrick was diagnosed with cancer, I have been praying for him and you. It’s amazing how you can love and care about people whom you have necer met. Of course I have read all that I could about the two of you. But never having met either of you, it has surprised people at how deeply this has affected me.
I cried the moment I heard of Patrick’s passing. I cried for him and, for you. I regret not being able to have known you both.
Your marriage, friendship, Patricks career and courage through his fight; has been an inspiration to me.
You, Lisa, have also been an inspiration. You are a wonderful wife and a wonderful person.
My heart goes out to you.
You and Patrick, are in my thoughts and in my prayers. Please give my sympathy to the rest of your family.
