‘White Christmas’ returns to Broadway for holidays

NEW YORK — The stage version of Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” is serving up another round of holiday cheer.

The musical based on the 1954 movie classic returns to Broadway’s Marquis Theatre on Nov. 13. The show, which premiered at the Marquis last season, will run through Jan. 3.

Berlin’s catalog of songs includes the title song and standards like “I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm.”

Producer Kevin McCollum calls Berlin’s songs a perfect fit for Broadway.

Says McCollum: “You can’t have the holidays without Irving Berlin.”

“White Christmas” is a lavish interpretation of the movie that starred Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen. McCollum says casting will be announced later.
