New Batman Movie: Anne Hathaway’s Makeover!

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The expectation of the Batman fans from ace director Christopher Nolan are quite high considering his last Batman flick ‘The Dark Knight’ turned out to be a huge success. It also won late actor Heath Ledger rave reviews for his stellar performance as Joker the nemesis of the saviour of Gotham City. He will not be in the sequel to ‘The Dark Knight’ but there will be some new actors in the cast of the new Batman movie titled ‘Dark Knight Rises’. The female lead will be played by actress Anne Hathaway. It may sound a tad unusual for the movie buffs who have known the pretty actress playing girl next door characters in most of her movies. However, The Devil Wears Prada actor is going for a complete makeover in the new Batman movie, as industry sources have reported.

The actress will don the costume of catwoman a character who shares a love-hate relation with Batman in the movie. While the new Batman movie is sure to have plenty of CGI and visual effects as was the case with the director’s last release ‘Inception’, the director will surely add new dimensions to the other characters. Anne Hathaway is already trying to reinvent her plain Jane image as is evident from her bold scenes in the film ‘Love And Other Drugs’. The new role in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is going to add momentum to that.

The industry buzz suggests that the director selected her over a number of other contenders for the new Batman movie. It is not known what sort of an on screen relation she is going to have with Bane, the main villain of the film.
