“The Walking Dead” Season 2 Updates

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- While on one hand the media outlets reported that the Frank Darabont has fired the writing staffs of “The Walking Dead” season 2, the executive producer Gale Anne Hurd and Robert Kirkman has dismissed the news. While Gale Anne Hurd said that the reports are completely inaccurate, Robert Kirkman said that the announcement was “unfortunate” and “premature”. Gale Anne Hurd said that Frank Darabont has not fired the main writer of his series Charles “Chic” Eglee but the latter chose to leave the project owing to his own personal reasons.
Gren Anne Hurd said that Frank Darabont and Robert Kirkman would sit in the beginning of next year to discuss about “The Walking Dead” season 2 and map out the plot and structure of the series. She also confirmed that every member of the principal cast is signed for the multiple seasons. About makeup artist Greg Nicotero, the executive producer said that the cast and crew of the series hope that the he would come back in the next season. Gale Hurd Kirkman said that she was surprised by the success of “The Walking Dead” and she feels that the show has broader appeal than initial expectations.
Robert Kirkman, the writer and executive producer of “The Walking Dead” said that the writing staffs were not fired and Frank Darabont has no reason to fire the writing staffs. Though he did not reveal any information about the season 2 of post-apocalyptic horror television series but he said that the show will return in the next season. However, he also said that the crew members do not know if there will be freelancers or any other writer for the next season.
