LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- International model of Indian origin Lakshmi Menon is one of the models who has made it one the pages of the most celebrated calendars in the world, the Pirelli calendar. The Pirelli calendar for the year 2011 sure makes every man wish that there were more months in a year and this year the calendar has been shot by celebrated German designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The calendar this year has been themed on the Greek Gods and Goddesses and in one of the photos Lakshmi Menon is seen topless along side models Erin Wasson and Bianca Balti. The official world premiere of the calendar took place on Tuesday in an event in Moscow. While most of the shots focus on nude models, the photos have been shot in black and white to add a more aesthetic feel to the nudity shown. Hollywood actress Juliane Moore has also made it to the calendar but Karl Lagerfeld has ensured that she is portrayed in a more modest manner.

Lakshmi Menon has earlier made it to the cover of various international magazine that includes Vogue. The 5′10″ scorcher has also posed in the nude for photoshoots but this is the first time that she has made it to the world’s most coveted calendar. Karl Lagerfeld said that the actresses and models brought the mythological characters to life and redefined beauty. The 28 year old model was born in Bangalore, Karnataka and has been a well known face in the Indian modeling circuit for years. She got her break in the international modeling circle in 2006 and since then has endorsed some of the biggest brands in the world.
